Volunteer Check-in Area Manager Assistant

MANAGEMENT

Assist the lead Volunteer Coordinator at Volunteer Check-in during fair set-up, fair tear-down, and during the fair itself.

  • Train Volunteer Check-in volunteers on duties such as using the volunteer registration system, distributing t-shirts, and keeping the volunteer snacks and beverages stocked.

  • Serve as the first point-of-contact for volunteer questions from volunteers, Area Managers, and Board Members.

  • Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with moving volunteers as needed to cover critical shifts.

Time commitment before the fair: Possibly 4-6 hours on set-up days (Aug 6 and 7) for checking in set-up volunteers, keeping refreshments stocked, setting up lunch, and connecting volunteers with Area Managers who need their help.

Time commitment during the fair: Currently, we're looking for coverage for the entire weekend of the fair. Depending on the total number of Area Managers, this might be lowered to 50-75% of the weekend of the Irish Fair.

Time commitment after the fair: Possibly 3-4 hours on Aug 11 for checking in tear-down volunteers.
