The Twin Cities Irish Fest is committed to being an inclusive celebration where everyone can enjoy the magic of Irish culture. We strive to ensure our grounds, transportation, and facilities are accessible to all guests. If you have a specific question about accessibility or would like to request a particular accommodation, please contact us.

Arrival & Accessible Parking

We offer several options to help you get from your car to the celebration as easily as possible:

  • Primary Accessible Parking: Located on the north side of Water Street (between Wabasha and Plato) until full.

  • Overflow Parking & Shuttles: Additional accessible parking is available at the Ramsey County Building (90 Plato Boulevard W). Look for the "Accessible Parking" signage.

  • Shuttle Service: A golf cart shuttle runs between the overflow lot and the Main Gate. If you require a wheelchair-accessible (ADA) shuttle, simply notify a parking attendant and they will radio for our dedicated guest shuttle.

  • Guest Drop-Off: A convenient drop-off area is located directly in front of the Main Gate.

Navigating the Grounds

Harriet Island features paved, level sidewalks that are easy for wheelchairs and motorized scooters to navigate. Our grassy areas are also level, providing easy access to all performance and food tents.

  • Please Note: The Irish Fest does not provide wheelchair or motorized scooter rentals.

Sensory-Friendly & Family Spaces

We want every guest to have a comfortable experience, especially those who may need a break from the sights and sounds of the Fest.

  • The Quiet Space: Located on the west side of the island (between the West Food Bank and First Aid), this space is kept dark, quiet, and cool. It is designed for guests with autism, sensory processing disorders, or anyone simply needing a peaceful moment.

  • Nursing Mothers: We are pleased to provide a private, cool, and quiet space for mothers and babies. This area is located within the Quiet Space tent.

  • The Social Narrative: To help you prepare for your visit, we provide a Social Narrative that outlines what to expect at the Fest — from the sounds of the pipes to the crowds at the gate.
